In specific slum communities in Liberia, many students ages 5-11 are not enrolled in primary school due to the cost. Yet, a year's tuition is just $80.

Fundraising

Teams launch creative fundraising campaigns or events. As an ámaxa member, we provide coaching and resources to make them a success!

Ultimately, we decided to focus on bringing awareness online. The students created a GoFundMe and a TikTok page, as well as put flyers in different locations to incentivize people to send money. As we approach the end of the project, they are currently organizing an online gaming event on Kahoot!. They are marketing the event through TikTok and Eventbrite and putting flyers in different locations. For the time being, there were able to fundraise $89!
